More About Mount Laguna, California 91948

At nearly 6,000 feet above sea level, the area receives its fair share of snowfall most winters.

Located on the northeastern edge of Cleveland National Park, Mount Laguna draws in plenty of visitors from around the area and the state. The community is also home to the Mount Laguna USAF Station, which served as the home of the 751st Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron until 1981, when the station was turned over to the FAA and in recent years left largely unused.

The Mount Laguna Real Estate Market

The majority of the homes for sale in this close-knit community consist of cabin-style homes that offer plenty of rustic appeal. These homes do a wonderful job of blending in nicely with their immediate surroundings while at the same time offering all of the modern conveniences expected of an up-to-date home. Anyone working in the San Diego will surely have to face an hour-long commute into the metropolitan area, but that's just a small price to pay for anyone who enjoys life in a quiet, rural setting.

Things To Do in Mount Laguna

Laguna Mountain Lodge and Store offers both residents and passersby an abundance of grocery items, gifts and souvenirs. The nearby Blue Jay Lodge delivers quiet, intimate accommodations along with excellent dining. Outside of the activities offered by Cleveland National Park, visitors and residents enjoy camping and hiking during the summer months, and snow sledding and cross-country skiing during the winter months. Other protected wilderness areas are also located nearby, including the Anza Borrego Desert State Park. Due to the relatively remote location, residents may find themselves taking an hour-long drive into the greater San Diego area for a wider variety of dining, shopping and entertainment venues.
